GET THE LOOK: Modern Coastal Dining Space

Updated: Nov 16, 2022

What do you think of this dining space mood board? I am loving it!

I actually created this mood board after creating the space in our house... The look was always in my head, but I like to see the look as a selection board and then in real life! So as I patiently wait to get the photos back from our recent photography session I decided to create a mood board to share the design and sources with you!

Dining Table//Dining Chairs//Planters//Rustic Bowl//Flowers//Snake Plant//Sheep Skin

With all the wood in our home, I knew for sure I didn't want a wood dining set, so the Eames inspired white tulip table was the perfect starting place.  Then to keep the coastal vibe, I love these  wicker dining chairs from Lulu & Georgia, a nice natural color and texture to add to the space. I have also been using small sheep skin throws on the seats for added comfort. The chairs are comfortable but if you are wearing a dress or shorts I like having the throws so you don't get all those annoying indents in your skin. Plus they add a little warmth and 'homeyness" to the space. And then wanted to be sure to keep it mid century modern with the West Elm Eden Cross Bass planter and of course the easiest plant to keep alive, the snake plant!

By the way... did you know you can order plants on Amazon!? I guess, why not, but I was surprised. I was actually looking for a faux snake plant because my baby boy likes to pull on the leaves and dig in the soil... haha! But I came across these beautiful live snake plants on Amazon and it was just too easy, and real is always better in my mind. So Mason, hands off :)

The final touch was the beautiful "Summer Love" bouquet from Bouqs! I just love the soft yet colorful tones in this bouquet. They are going to be moving to fall bouquets soon so I am totally going to order the "Summer Love" one more time before its gone.. With Love and Coastal Vibes,
